Bunnies
Their first class without you. Their first skills that are all theirs.
Bunnies Kids Program for 3-Year-Olds
Three-year-olds have just enough coordination to attempt things their body isn't quite ready for — and absolutely zero awareness of that gap. Which is exactly what makes this age group the most joyful, chaotic, and developmentally rich group in the gym.
The Bunnies program is the first band in the Jumpstart ladder where your child attends class independently. This is a significant moment — not just physically, but emotionally. Separation, following instructions from a non-parent adult, managing excitement and disappointment within a group — these are enormous developmental tasks, and our coaches are trained to hold that space with warmth and structure.
On the movement side, Bunnies classes are built around fundamental gymnastics shapes and patterns: forward rolls, log rolls, beam walking, jumping, and landing. Skills that look simple but are doing deep work — building bilateral coordination, body awareness, and the proprioceptive feedback loop that lets children understand where their body is in space.
This is the year children start to feel athletic. Our job is to make sure that feeling is built on something real.
The stage
Three is the year of "by myself." Your child wants independence — Bunnies gives it to them in a space engineered to make independence succeed. This is their first structured class alone: listening to a coach, moving with a group, taking turns, trying, missing, trying again. It's as much preparation for the classroom as it is for the gym.

In class, your baby will
01
Foundational Gymnastics Skills
Train real foundational gymnastics: forward rolls, safe landings and first jumps that feel like play. These early skills build strength, coordination and the confidence to try new movements.
02
Follow-the-Path Circuits
Move through coached stations in small groups with clear start and finish points. Each circuit teaches them to listen, follow a path and keep going even when it feels a bit tricky.
03
Watch, Copy & Balance
Learn to watch a demonstration, then attempt the same movement on the beam. Step by step, they discover how to steady their body, focus their eyes and trust their own balance.
04
Classroom Habits on the Bars
Practise the classroom fundamentals: listening, lining up, waiting and taking turns. These routines make the gym feel familiar and safe, so they’re ready for bigger bar skills later.
05
Try, Tumble & Try Again
Try, fall, and go again — in a space where wobbling is part of the plan. This playful repetition teaches resilience, body control and the joy of mastering a new shape.
What’s building underneath
The skill on the mat is only half of it. A three-year-old who learns "I watched, I tried, I couldn't do it, I tried again, and then I could" has learned the single most valuable lesson available at this age. We are deliberately building children who are not afraid of the attempt. Physically, this is where genuine gymnastics foundations are laid — grip strength, core control, body shapes, spatial awareness — the base layer for every skill on the ladder above.
By the time they move up to Sunbears, most Bunnies can
01
Perform a forward roll independently
02
Walk a beam confidently, with turns and dips
03
Hang and swing on the bar, and begin supporting their weight on top of it
04
Jump from a springboard and stick a landing
05
Complete a full 60-minute class independently — listening, rotating stations, taking turns

Your role
You watch from the parents' area — coffee in hand, full view of the floor. And you'll be surprised how fast "don't leave" becomes "watch this."
