What is Parkour?
Parkour is movement with obstacles in the way. The obstacles are the point. Climbing. Jumping. Vaulting. Balancing. Landing. Flowing. It's reading a wall, a rail, a gap, a drop — and finding the line through. Looks reckless from the outside. It's the opposite. Parkour is the calmest, most deliberate thing you can do at full speed.
At Jumpstart, we don't throw kids at obstacles and hope it works out. We coach through our own parkour syllabus — built to train the body and the brain at the same time. Students learn the skills: vaults, precisions, wall-runs, landings, the works. But underneath that, the real curriculum: risk awareness, emotional control, resilience, and the habit of choosing effort over the easy way out.
That's the goal we actually care about. Strong bodies. Sharper minds. Steadier nerves. Athletes who happen to be very good at parkour — and people built for everything else.
PARKOUR AT JUMPSTART
Parkour Is More Than JumpingIt’s Confidence in Motion
Parkour teaches children and adults how to move through obstacles with focus, creativity and control. Every vault, climb, jump and landing becomes a lesson in courage — not just in the gym, but in life.
Every obstacle is a problem to solve. Children build focus, decision-making and confidence simultaneously.
Think Fast, Stay Calm
Taught progressively — safe take-offs, controlled landings and smart movement choices at every stage.
Build Real Control
As new challenges are mastered, children begin to believe: "I can figure this out."
Grow Braver Every Week
Balance, coordination and body awareness — applied to real movement, one challenge at a time.
Move With Purpose
Because the goal was never just to teach children to vault over boxes. It was to raise kids who look at challenges — in the gym, in school, in life — and think: Nothing stops me. I was built for this. Watch me.
Our Parkour Classes
Three groups. One philosophy: the obstacle is the point.
NINJA CUBS
— Ages 6 to 10
This is where it starts. First vaults, first precisions, first proper landings. Cubs learn how to fall safely, read an obstacle, and commit to a move. We coach technique through games — looks like play, builds real skill underneath. Strength, balance, body awareness, and the confidence to try something hard, miss, and try again without it being a big deal.
NINJA TEENS
— Ages 11 to 18
The skills get bigger. So does the thinking. Teens train wall-runs, kongs, lâches, drops — techniques that look impossible until they aren't. Sessions push physical capacity (strength, mobility, conditioning) alongside the mental side: managing fear, breaking complex moves into parts, training with intent. This is where students stop copying coaches and start building their own movement.
NINJA PRIME
— Adults, 18+
Parkour for grown bodies. Mobility, strength, and cardio, structured so you can train hard now and still be training in ten years. Whether you're a complete beginner, a returning athlete, or someone who's always wanted to climb walls and never had a reason to — same starting line, same coaching. Move better. Last longer. Have fun doing it.
What You'll Learn
FOUNDATIONS
The base everything else stands on. Vaults — safety, kong, dash, lazy. Wall runs. Cat leaps. Climb-ups. Plus the work most people skip: landing mechanics, balance, control under pressure. Get these right and the rest comes fast.
BARS AND BEAMS
Hanging, swinging, moving through gaps instead of over them. Underbars, lâchés, swings, rail and beam work. Builds grip, shoulder strength, and the body awareness to handle narrow surfaces and high ones.
FREESTYLE
The flashy stuff. Side flips, back flips, front flips — coached over mats, progressed step by step, never rushed. Webster (a one-leg flip, pure style) for students chasing flair. Once the techniques are in, students learn the harder skill: stringing it all together. Flow, line choice, finishing a run with finesse instead of just finishing it.
