Caterpillars

Movement Gym for Babies

Before they can walk, they're already training.

Your baby has just discovered their hands. Their feet. The ceiling fan. The world is arriving in enormous, overwhelming waves — and their body is the first instrument they have to make sense of it all.

The Caterpillars program is built around one foundational truth: movement is how infants learn. Not as a nice extra, but as the primary channel through which sensory information becomes understanding. Every roll, reach, and supported balance in our class is intentionally designed around what your baby's nervous system is ready for right now.

Classes are calm, intimate, and parent-led. You are not a spectator here — you are the whole environment. Our coaches guide you through positioning, handling, and movement sequences that build tummy time tolerance, core activation, and vestibular development in babies who are not yet mobile.

What your baby takes home isn't a certificate. It's a body that has been moved well, touched confidently, and given a little more fluency in the language of physical space. That foundation shapes everything that comes next.

The stage

Your baby is doing the hardest physical work of their life right now. Learning to hold their own head up. Learning to roll, to push, to reach for something and get it. Every one of these is a full-body effort — and every one of them is wiring the brain that will carry them through everything that comes after. Caterpillars is where that work gets the right environment: soft, safe, deliberately designed, and shared with you.

Duration

45 Minutes

In class, your baby will

01

Tummy Time
Setups

Experience expert-guided tummy time setups that activate neck, shoulder and core strength.Build the foundation for rolling, crawling and early postural control.

03

Vestibular Play

Move through vestibular sequences like gentle rocking, rolling and supported transitions.Help your baby’s brain map where their body is in space for better balance and focus later.

05

Core Activation

Develop core activation through expert-guided hands-on support in early positions.Prepare the body for sitting, crawling and later complex skills without skipping steps.

02

Visual Tracking
& Reach

Engage in visual tracking exercises using high-contrast toys and gentle arcs.Strengthen hand–eye coordination and the ability to reach, grasp and bring objects to midline.

04

Tactile Boundaries

Standardize tactile boundaries through floor work, soft props and safe pressure.Support body awareness so your baby learns what safe, predictable touch and contact feel like.

What’s building underneath

While it looks like simple play, your baby is hard at work. We are focusing on primitive reflex integration, strengthening the neck and upper back for future milestones, and building the neural pathways that will eventually lead to crawling.

By the time they move up to Gliders, most Caterpillars can

01

Hold their head steady while being carried or moved.

02

Push up on their arms during tummy time with confidence.

03

Roll from their back to their side or tummy.

04

Track moving objects and faces across their full field of vision.

05

Respond to their name and simple sensory cues.

Your role

You are your baby's secure base. In this class, you'll learn the specific handling skills that make movement feel safe for your infant. We'll show you how to support them without over-assisting, ensuring they develop true physical autonomy from the start.
